# Ark | How to Change the Difficulty Level on your Server

#### The value of these variables are on default for normal servers. Do not change these if you do not understand it.

1. Go to your [https://panel.skynode.pro/](https://panel.skynode.pro/) and Select your Server

2. Go to **File Manager**

3. Open `ShooterGame > Config > DefaultGameUserSettings.ini`

4. Change the value of the `DifficultyOffset=0.000000`  to `DifficultyOffset=1.000000`

5. Add a new line `OverrideOfficialDifficulty` just below `DifficultyOffset=1.000000`

6. The `OverrideOfficialDifficulty` value can be between 1.0 and 10.0. This value should be set to your maximum desired level, divided by 30. For example, if you want your max level to be 300, then set this value to 10 (300 / 30 = 10). If yo u want your max level to be 150, then set this value to 5 since (150 / 30 = 5).

7. Click Save and Restart your server once you are done.
