# Enshrouded | How to connect to your Enshrouded server

|| These steps will show you how to connect to your Enshrouded server through the game

## Joining using Enshrouded's server browser

1. Click `Play` in your game then click `Join`
2. Click the button that says `Search for server name` and type the name of your server shown in the Startup tab of your server.

| We recommend changing the name to something unique so you can find it easier in the server list

Your server should show up in the server list in the game.

||| **If the server does not show up in the server list after following these steps please follow the steps below**

## Joining using Steam's server browser

|| These steps will show you how to connect to your Enshrouded server through Steam's server browser

1. Open Steam & click on the View button on the top left
2. In the dropdown menu, click `Game Servers`

3. Click on `Favourites` and click the `+` on the bottom right of the Game Server window

4. Copy the IP and port of your server shown in the overview tab or the console tab in the Game Panel
5. Paste the IP and port of your server into where it says `Add server by IP` in the Game Servers window

|| **Please ensure the port you are entering is the port allocated to your server**

6. Click `OK`

Your server should show up in Steam's game server browser when you press `F`.

If it shows as not responding, check if your server is running.
