# Installing Nukkit Manually 

If you prefer a faster method we have a Bedrock Type Installer, this tutorial is only for users who prefer installing their server manually.

Note: If you do not want to lose any of your server files/data, make sure to create a backup.

**Step 1:** Delete all your server files.

1. Go to panel > files.

2. Select all the files.

3. Mass delete.

**Step 2:** Installing Nukkit Jar.

1. You can download the jar [here](https://ci.opencollab.dev/job/NukkitX/job/Nukkit/job/master/)

2. Upload the jar to your server files

3. Rename the jar to `server` It should be `server.jar`

**Step 3:** Updating your server type

Go to server panel > Startup and locate "Change server type", select pocketmine-MP and install.

Once all of the steps above is done, then you should be above to start your server now.

**Note:** Only use this method if our bedrock type installer do not work.
