# Minecraft | Custom World

# Custom World

_This article will guide you how to upload a custom or existing world to your vanilla server. No plugin needed. _

**Before proceeding, please prepare and install the following first.**
1. Install SFTP Client [Panel | How to manage files using SFTP](https://help.skynode.pro/en/article/panel-how-to-manage-files-using-sftp-1dn4a06/)
2. Get your world folder and prepare it for uploading. Do not ZIP it, keep it as folder.
3. Stop your server.

###### Uploading Custom World

1. Connect to your server files using SFTP Client  [Panel | How to manage files using SFTP](https://help.skynode.pro/en/article/panel-how-to-manage-files-using-sftp-1dn4a06/)
2. Upload your world folder.

3. Once it's finish uploading, go to Panel > `Server Properties`

4. Locate `Level Name` and change it to your world name, and save. Example:

  * If you cannot see this, you can also go to File Manager > server.proeprties.txt

5. Start your server. 

**All done! Enjoy your server!**
