# Rust | How to Mute/Unmute Players on your Server

2. Run the RustAdmin Client

3. Type `mute player_name_or_steam_id`
  * Make sure you replace player_name_or_steam_id with the name or Steam ID of the player you wish to mute. This will mute both their voice and text chat.

4. To unmute a player, follow the same steps but with the unmute command.

**All done! You just mute/unmute a player!**
