# Terraria | Setting up a whitelist and whitelist players

# Setting up a whitelist

**1.** Login to the control panel at [https://panel.skynode.pro](https://panel.skynode.pro)

**2.** Click **Console** on the left and if your server is started then press **Stop** to turn it off.

**3.** Select **Files** from the navigation on the left.

**4.** Locate **config.json** and click its file name.

**5.** Locate `"EnableWhitelist": false,` and replace `false` with `true`

**6.** Start your server from the console page and the whitelist will become active.

**All done! Your server is now whitelisted.**

# Adding a player to the whitelist

**1.** Login to the control panel at [https://panel.skynode.pro](https://panel.skynode.pro)

**2.** Click **Console** on the left and if your server is started then press **Stop** to turn it off.

**3.** Select **Files** from the navigation on the left.

**4.** Locate **whitelist.txt** and click its file name.

**5.** Add all of the users IP addresses to the list in the following format: (One per line and include the `whitelist` word)
``whitelist 12.34.56.78
whitelist 87.65.43.21``
**6.** Start your server from the console page and the whitelist will become active.

**All done! The users are now whitelisted.**

|| To remove someone from the whitelist is the exact same process except instead of adding them to the list, you remove them and then start the server.
