# Truck Simulator | How to disable name tags

# In this guide you will get to know how to disable Name Tags on your Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator Server

### In ETS2/ATS server, the default setting displays name tags above player trucks. However, server owners may find it desirable to disable this feature in order to enhance the immersive experience and avoid distracting name tags on passing trucks.

## To swiftly disable name tags, follow these steps using the Skynode Game Panel:

1. **Access Your Game Panel and Stop Your Server:**
* Before making any changes, log in to your [game panel](https://panel.skynode.pro) and stop your server.

2. **Navigate to Config Files:**
* Head to the "Files Manager" section and follow this directory: `/.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2` 
* Now click on `server_config.sii` file to open it.

3. **Adjust the Name Tags Setting:**
* After opening server config file, locate the line `name_tags: true` and replace the `true` with `false` . This action ensures that name tags will no longer be visible above player trucks.

4. **Save Changes and Restart Your Server:**
* After making the changes, click on "Save" to apply the changes. Once saved, restart your server to implement the new configuration.

## By following these steps, you have seamlessly disabled name tags on your ETS2 or ATS server!
