||| This guide will be walking you through making a clean install (It's less likely to cause problems).

Step 1: Download the jar file you want to install, or select a type of server you're interested in below, then find the version you want on the new page. || Popular Minecraft Types: Vanilla, CraftBukkit, Spigot, Paper: (Latest/ Older), SpongeVanilla Step 2: Login to your panel and select the server that you wish to change the version of. How to manage files using SFTP

In order to access SFTP you will need a third party program to connect to our servers. We recommend FileZilla as it is straightforward to use and has all the features you will need.

Step 1: Make sure you have your SFTP software installed

Step 2: Open up the software and use the details found under Server Panel -> SFTP on the panel to log in.

This is what the information will look like to login with. Your Connection Address is Host, Username is the username and your password is the same as your password using when logging into the panel. You do not need to enter a port, if you entered the entire connection address, the port will fill itself.

How to upload a custom world

STEP 1: Download the world you want and save it somewhere accessible. STEP 2: Make sure the world is in a ZIP archive. This can be done by using a program such as WinRar or 7zip. You will need to compress the folder or it will not work. If you do not want to compress the world folder you can upload it to your server using SFTP.

STEP 3: In the panel, press upload. From there select the ZIP file of the world. STEP 4: Once you have seen the bar has turned from blue to green to show it has been uploaded, refresh the page. From there, press unarchive and the file will be placed in your server directory.

/gamerule mobGriefing <true|false>

If set to true, explosions caused by mobs will be enabled. This is the default value.

If set to false, explosions caused by mobs will be disabled.

This game rule will also affect the ability of mobs to make changes to the world or pick items up e.g. endermen

For TNT Explosion (BEDROCK only)

If set to true, TNT explosions are enabled in your Minecraft worlds.

||| WARNING: You need your server version to be Spitgot/Bukkit/Paper, or Magma for this article to make sense.

Download the plugin/s you are looking to install on your server to your computer. We'd recommend downloading them all into a new folder.. You can download them here: SpigotMC Bukkit Plugins
Go to your Skynode Panel > File Manager and find the folder named Plugins click it to access the area you need to upload your plugin/s to.
You can upload the plugin/s jar to your server by dragging it. Or using the upload button you can find in the top right. Or you can also use SFTP client to upload a plugin, recommended if you have a lot of plugins to add. How to manage files using SFTP
Once the file/s have finishing uploading (You can refresh the page and check if the plugin is there). Just restart/start your server and your plugins should load in!

Diagnosing Issues

Today we will be learning how to diagnose issues with your server. This is meant for Spigot/Bukkit servers so please do not use this guide for modded servers, there will be a separate guide for that. This guide will specifically cover:

Plugin Issues

Server Lagging

To begin with, we will start with your server lagging. Spigot is very good with diagnosing lag issues as there is a built-in thing known as timings. This will show you exactly how much lag each plugin and event that is causing lag and anything else that could be an issue too. To enable the timings, you simply need to run the command "timings on". This will first enable the timings and start gathering information for your server.

Next, you will want to simply wait for around 3-5 minutes. During this period, play on your server as you usually would just so that you can see exactly when playing normally is the trouble. After this time, you will just want to run the command "timings paste". This will then post you the link to monitor all the data on your server.

Then you will want to go ahead and follow that link and it will present you with a table of data to do with your server.
